Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

In this case perhaps stuffing her cow with cabbage is a better analogy than the usual one!
A little bit of that gravy's goin' all over your plate huh?

.... but I prefer to do mine on the gas grill. You have to ask if a dwarf has gas?

I've missed tons of episodes, but caught up on a few good ones during Entmoot and WeddingMoot.
Becky is around too often for me to be able to indulge in South Park!

We'd have to leave Nana at home (she's very allergic to smoke - but it's largely psychological)...but if that's the price we must pay... ~snicker~

Well, we got enough rednecks here that they get a fight over takin' stuff away from us.
'Course, the rednecks is a whole other realm of entertainment!

She got mad because 1) wife told her she couldn't suck the life out of our family 2) we didn't take her with us to meet our friends on Saturday.
So she stirred up trouble in North Carolina.
I am being the good quiet little son-in-law and I'm listening when the wife needs to vent. Wife has decided not to deal with it until we get Jr. on the plane to Brazil tomorrow. She's good at compartmentalizing like that (I'm not).
But it will NOT go on past this weekend without an intervention.
We have turned our world upside down for that old woman. She's not going to make things worse.

But it will NOT go on past this weekend without an intervention. Do it when you got to Corin. It needs to happen sometimes. Had that with Grama on occasion. You know how much I loved her... and miss her... but sometimes we had to straighten things out when she lived here. It always worked out for the best too.

Wife has decided not to deal with it until we get Jr. on the plane to Brazil tomorrow. Well, that's an interesting, if unorthodox, approach. It never would have occurred to me to just send the kids to Brazil. But the more I think on it, the more I think you're onto something.
