Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

LOL... I have a different positive point about your survival system. My kid's life preservers always hung in the garage. But, we were forever getting someplace and needing them but they were at home. At least you have them with you when you happen to want them! :-)

I don't blame you at all! Be prepared is more than just a good motto.

Except the jedis would be mortified...they have "The Lion King" on them. Our neighbor gave them to us.

"Hey Bear! Can you point Fedora to any naughty breakfast pics? ;~D"
That's alright, I just wanted to know what the joke was! I don't want to look at anything I'll need to watch Bakshi to wash away!

I don't blame you at all! Be prepared is more than just a good motto. Yeah, making an unplanned side trip to the lake and being invited water skiing is a lot easier when you already *happen* to have the kid's life preservers with you! :-)

We are watching the "20th Anniversary Special Edition Star Wars trilogyCool... is that the one Lucas screwed up by adding new digital effects?
Couldn't find any naughty breakfast pics... I think it happened here. (Notice one of the pics is no more...) The event first got mention early on thread 4, anyway, making the end of 3 a good possible location for it...

What a happy coincidence! :)

Except the jedis would be mortified...they have "The Lion King" on them. Our neighbor gave them to us. My kids would have gotten over that mortification instantly when my dad or uncles said, "Ya'll wanna go for a boat ride?" Amazing how that works!

Oh... well... yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about!
Of course, my idea of being prepared is having my cell phone and a chapstick with me. Oh, and now my click-stick (portable mass storage device), but that's just a geek thing.

Well, luckily, I didn't crash, and it was not my fate to end up buck naked and dead, without reasonable explanation, in a rented airplane crashed in the desert. But I did worry about it at the time!

Thanks! LOL I figure if something worries me, even a little...I should do something about it..tackle it, fix it or at least figure out some way to feel better.
Sometimes I gotta take a few deep breaths beforehand, though...Ha!!!

Yes, I remember they were at the end of thread 3. Cause Ruthy was so glad to see us fill it up so they went away! :-)

is that the one Lucas screwed up by adding new digital effects?Yup. IMO, the only good thing to come out of that was the new, remastered Special Edition soundtracks!

"Cool... is that the one Lucas screwed up by adding new digital effects?"
'fraid so--sigh. However there was a boxed set that came out right before that which had the original movies still intact. Got both versions on VCR, still waiting for the original on DVD. . .
