Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Just so long as it isn't a smurf. Those things are kinda scary! After you get to know him, you'd no longer even notice his shocking blue color and squeaky voice. To you, he'd just be ~Dooooooood~.

I don't need that much furniture. I'm hoping to fit my desk and desk chair in, as well as two or three bookshelves (a bookshelf is the most useful piece of furniture in existance). Then also there's a nice armchair my parents don't want that would be great if I can fit it.
I'll get a bed, a table, and a couch out there. Am almost done packing my books, and there shouldn't be more than a dozen boxes of those.

Just got word that my b-i-l is definitely losing his job. (His mom was the one that died last year).
Still, the company is giving them 30 more days of work then they go on "re-deployment" for 60 days and can use all the company resources to find a new job. Works out that way so that, if he's still with the company by October 3, he'll get his pro-rated bonus.
So, while it still stinks, they're treating them well.
I'm just hoping they can stay in the Richmond area. That's what they want to do.

I'm right IN mountains. Or rolling hills, in any case. No driving required. And I never get tired of lookin' at 'em!
And if I want more mountainous mountains, I can drive forty minutes or so.

I hope he finds something right away, and that he has the opportunity of a little time! He'll be okay. He's young, bright and has his MBA. And he's completely anal about everything so he'll work diligently at finding a new job.
Like I said, the concern is not finding a job, it's finding one in Richmond.
