Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

"There's ~that~ but there are also six different cameras that were taking pictures... it's combining Bear's day with Tam's day with Ruthy's day with 2J's day... They all took different pictures, and I want to blend them all into one sequence."

Wow! It sounds like it'll be as long as something Peter Jackson filmed :)

Wake now my hobbit lass! Wake and hear me calling!
Warm now be heart and limb! The cold stone is fallen!

Hey now Willow! Let Ruthy go! Bombabil is talking!

I dunno what's on yet. I just finished watching Anatomy of a Grizzly Bite on Discovery. Basically told the story of that grizzly expert who got himself killed after years of studying and "befriending" grizzlies.

They constructed a robot bear to recreate an attack and showed how one bite can open your skull like an egg. *shudder*

No bears for me, thanks! Except at the zoo! ;)

LOL! No chance of me falling into Old Man Willow anytime soon. Alyson had a very late nap and she's got at least another hour of playtime before she starts tiring out.

But...I do have to admit how comfy my pillow looks...

And tonight Bombadil is played by Alyson! :-)

I have moved back into the den again so I only have to air condition one room instead of the whole house. Therefore, my pillow too is just right behind me on the couch. It was calling me to nap earlier - but I resisted because I have too much stuff to do around here after my trip. I think it's gonna be an early night for me. I have to meet with a student at 9 tomorrow morning - that's outside my schedule lately! :-)

Speaking of snacks.... I went to WalMart to get stuff to send troops - and do ya know - I didn't even think to get stuff for me! After being away for 3 weeks there's just not much choice here! I think I'm gonna have to go back to WalMart *soon*

I like to hand Steve a 25# bag of flour and a 10# bag of sugar at Sams...just to let him feel how much he's lost.

It really is amazing and his knees are thankin' him!

Sorry about that. I have to care for Alyson for a bit.

I'll be back when I get her settled.

Guess that's excuseable! I'd just sat down for a smoke but decided it was time to go hang my last load of laundry on the line instead. Back now. All clothing washed!

I'm here too...been working on my homesat stuff for the jedis' school this next year...it's daunting, but i think I got a handle on it now. At least a couple of issues. I still have to program the receiver...

There are 10 classes, I'll be alternating video tapes each week so I have to have 20 video tapes...

And I gotta go to Sams for two more VCRs...for the jedis to actually USE while I'm recording on two other VCRs. It's a mess, but I think it'll be good...they'll have private TVs to watch on.
