Still round the corner there may wait |

Before we decided to stay here and remodel, we were looking at other areas of town where new houses were being built. We went to one place that was completely new; no other houses around for the most part. We were standing in front of one of the houses and heard the familiar off road sounds. Some kids were on dirt bikes and ATVs in a trail about 1000' from these houses. That was the deciding factor AGAINST those houses! Another reason I'd prefer to live on a body of water that didn't allow for gas motors just to keep the noise level down. A place that only allowed canoes and kayaks would be heavenly!
Glad to see your pictures turned out okay!
Well, there is a bright side. If you're selling the old place, and are not attached to the place you're in now, you are free to go pretty much anywhere you can find a job you like! Course, that takes some work looking and stuff, but you won't feel bad moving from the house you're in now!
Happy 4th of July, everyone! :)
Sorry to hear you missed church!
I went to the service yesterday. It was kind of neat because it was themed on Independence Day. We did the Pledge of Allegiance and sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" and other patriotic songs for the singing parts. That was different!
"Pittsburg plays at 1:35 ET...Milwaukee."
Da Brewers! Looks like you're playing us, Jen!
At the beach house, the boats, large and small, that go by are kindof interesting. It isn't like a lake that is ~all~ speed boats and water skiiers, most are just cruisin', probably with a cool drink in hand, looking at the scenery.... until the jet skiiers come and buzz around the other boats, lookin' like swarmin' flies, circling the big boats and jumping their wake.
In the state forest I ride, they have seperated the forest into a 'motorized' and non-motorized side.... so the horse trails I ride, we share with mountain bicyclists and hikers, but no ATVs and motorcycles. You can still hear them though, if'n you're within several miles of the dividing line. Our side has all the scenery and wildlife, I think ;~D

I hope the new people get a feeder up soon.
I am goin back out, came in to choose a power tool. Mower, I think.

Err...Rather Happy Continued Repression...fer you Southerners. ;~D
Hey all...I'm thinking of something...
As you may or may not know, the Jedis are having their curriculum piped into the house via satelite this year...and I have to record the classes on VHS tape. Now I don't want a bunch of VHS tapes (or even a few, if we rotate them) sitting around and I was wondering about having them transfered onto DVD.
Is there a way to do this...I mean, like I take the VHS tape somewhere and they do it for me...do you know of any reputable company that would do this for me?
I'll be needing to have them copied onto DVD every week.
Now don't start something you cain't finish...
Truth is, even the Confederacy was American. We just saw the state's rights issue differently (please, let's leave it there). But after Reconstruction, southern boys came along and have fought and died with their yankeee brethren in the Spanish-American War, both WWI & II and every major war and conflict since.
We are all Americans now and the damnyankees are our family. True, they're the family you like to keep locked in the back room when company comes.
But they're family nonetheless.
Hmmm...good idea 2J.
But beyond the point of knowning that there's got to be a way to do that, I'm clueless.
