WE be havin' CHURCH!

(ecurbh, tell your brother you found a home...)

Hallelujah and Glory to God!!!

WN forgot to tell you about her adventure with the snake this afternoon too!!! Praise Jesus... just like it says in Mark 16:17 bout them snakes!!!! I overcame it!!! There it was.... 2 feet long.... crawling across Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Lynn's yard with me on the Craftsman Deluxe ridin' lawnmower! I saw it a crawlin'.... I propped my feet up o' top of the engine, put 'er in 2nd gear and roared over her! Slammed it back in reverse and went back again! She was obviously crippled so I shoved the mower back in first so as to grind her up slowly and painfully..... then into reverse again..... my legs was gettin' kinda crouped being stuck up on top of that engine then so I shoved her back in third and ran over the demon creature from hell again... then made another round in the front yard as the hellacious creature hadn't moved since my second pass over her...

After about 3 more rounds of the front yard, checkin' the serpent each time making sure she was more dead than the last time.... there was fire ants already eatin' upon her flesh..... by the time I finished mowing the yard.... she was a veritable mound of fire ant feast. And once again.... Genesis 3:15 is proven.

"Fedora: Good to meet you! If interested in my screenname, click on it for an explanation."

Checked it out already a while back, LOL! I was curious because I'd just been reviewing some Roman history before joining FR so I found that interesting.

"Just got back from seeing Spider-Man 2... wow! Really good movie!"

Wasn't it, though? :) How would you compare it to the first one? I wasn't sure which was better--tough call.

Listening to some Pink Floyd now...
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

"I can close my eyes and still see the lasers from the show I went to in '89."

I saw a version of that in a theater but without the band, just a recording of them and a lightshow. I would've loved to have seen the real show. I was a huge Pink Floyd fan in '89--watched the movie of "The Wall" every day for a while :)

I feel flitty
Oh so flitty
I feel flitty, and witty, and bright
I feel flitty
And I pity
Any elf drawn by Bakshi tonight. . .
