Special Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Thank you, Corin. It was a small tribute to RWRF's super-spam of yesteryear....
Exactly. If I win, I feel guilty. If I lose, I feel frustrated.
Glad to hear that at least. I'm sure if I tried to have very much at all to drink my true elven age would show through *way* too well! Better not to find out IMO. LOL
It shouldn't since I'll be home by 7:30 or so.
Yeah take it all away - I don't think I could handle him on more!
We've actually done s'mores with candles tho. Works pretty well if you can't get a fire going outside.
*snif* I miss Vim...
I have caught up on the thread and read your two family situations. Wow. Just too much for folks to really have to handle alone the way ya'll do. I realize how fortunate I am to at least be distanced to some degree from my family. Unfortunately, the distancing leaves me out of a lot of family that I'd like to be involved in. I miss them, but so many family get-togethers just seem to end up as disasters.
When Grama was still alive I was dealing with much the same as you Corin. And Ruthy, my mom and dad sound so much like your mom. I have really gotten to the point that I am *so* tired of hearing that they call me for emergencies because *I* am the one they can always count on. Sometimes I really wonder what it would be like to be one of those that no one can ever count on. But, I can't ever seem to be the one to *not* be there when there is a need. And yet, I get treated like crap.
heh heh heh...she said "handle"...
Okay... 7:30 is 6:30 here and PQ doesn't get off work till 6 anyway.
My cell phone is on the charger. :-)
But have you done them sitting on the couch with a Bic lighter?
Yes, she has young children...HELLO???
But I told him that one five minute call a day wouldn't push anything off her plate. Also pointed out that in the 9 months Nana has been with us that he couldn't use up the fingers on one hand counting where they'd done something for Nana without us initiating it.
Ummmm...no.
Uncle Lynn asked me to ask ya'll for prayer for his Uncle Doyle. He just got back from visiting his Mom and Dad, this is his mom's baby brother.
He fell off a ladder and broke 3 ribs, punctured a lung and his kidneys have stopped functioning. This was a couple of days ago and the kidney thing just happened. He's in the hospital in a smaller town north of Austin and they are trying to get him transferred to a hospital in Austin or Dallas *now*.
That seems to be the "Ruthy Method." hehehe
If I get a chance I will demo at PQ's tonight and let her take a photo! :-)
Prayers for Uncle Doyle and your family. You've got your hands full. But I'm glad you can be there for them right now.
Fixin' to head outside and mow for Uncle Lynn so he will have less *work* to do on his day off today. Will check back in later. :-)
Thanks Corin. Doyle is on up there in years so this is extremely serious.
Yeah - activity should start here too. I want to rake up all the loose hay from the delivery truck before it rains.
Wait! I need one of y'all to distract the head troll so I can get out of the office...
