Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sad Corin, that they aren't eager to help. Glad last week went so well.... we rise to the level of the need sometimes, and it sounds like she did, for the time she was really needed. I hope she finds enough need to feel good and that the other siblings come around.

It's simply amazing isn't it? Yet, when she passes on, they will ALL wax nostaglic and pretend they were there all along....

They're just gone for the weekend. I think if Bilbo went they had to come back sooner. But I don't recall.

We have no hope of the older three ever "coming around." That's the reality that Nana is learning. We told her it wasn't news to us, we've always known.
We've held out hope for the younger sister, and it may yet work out.
Part of this is the Mrs. still being tired from the trip. But we've got to get Nana's mind on something else. I think that was it last week, she was "needed" to take care of Luke, so she did it. She's a strong woman and has always done what she had to do. We've just got to find a way to keep her active.

Who ordered the Chinese food?
To: Corin Stormhands
When the wife got home she fell apart again.I guess she just wants her daughter to think her Mama still needs her. Maybe she thinks if she acts TOO self-sustaining that y'all will want her to live on her own. You never know what those old folks are thinking. ;o)

I work and pay for everything so she doesn't have to work or lose her house, etc and she watches the kids so I don't have to pay a day care or worry about their well-being. Maybe you should keep your OWN running tab of payments SHE might otherwise have to make if she were living on her own that can be balanced against hers someday; just for informational purposes, mind you. ;o)
