Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We've got a bunny that visits our yard almost every evening. He's gotten to where he won't even move when we come outside, unless we're walking steadily in his direction. If we're working out there, we can get within 10' or so of him before he hops away. Usually we don't even notice him unless he's hopping around cause he's the same color as the dirt and dead grass in our yard! ;o) He likes to nibble on the weeds, so he's in bunny heaven in our yard!

To: g'nad
great experience for me and thekids... we helped put smiles on some faces... I especially enjoyed the archery range, where I was able tuh help a hemipeligic woman in a wheelchair shoot her first arrow, and eventually get a bull eye...You're good people, hon!

If I've gots 4 O'clocks bloomin' does that mean it's almost time to go home? I think so. Aunt Cheryl and I watched movies till 4 this morning and some fool just rang the doorbell, knocked on the door AND called the house from a cell phone on the patio. I did not wake up in a nice elf mood. *sigh*
Need coffee.

*yawn* I'mup, I'mup...
Just heard "through the grapevine" that the deputy troll is retiring on November 1. Scares me that they'll put Rasputin in that slot. I had decided I could wait out the storm another year and a half.
I may have to re-think that.
