Where There Is Love

Where there is love the heart is light,
Where there is love the day is bright,
Where there is love there is a song,
To help when things are going wrong,
To make all things seem more worthwhile,
Where there is love there's quiet peace,
A tranquil place where turmoils cease...
Love change's darkness into light,
And makes the heart take "wingless flight".
Oh, blest are they who walk in love...
They also walk with God above,
And when man walks with God again,
There shall be Peace On Earth for men.

By hell, I'm not a poet,
I'm not even a nice girl.
But I've been married once or twice
And seen some of the world

Some people find me funny,
Others, a pain backside,
But to all who say bad things
Well, heck, I let 'em slide.

I had my share of tragedy
And joy, in my short life -
And reckon I'd make somebody
A firm, no-nonsense wife.
