Yikes...I think my blood sugar is soaring just READING those names...

I have a really sweet tooth, but Cap'n Crunch was beyond what even I could handle most of the time. Now that I'm not as used to sweets, I'm sure it'd just about kill me.

But I loooooooove Lucky Charms. Used to buy boxes and boxes of it when it was on sale at the commissary, and just eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, pretty much! Sad, I guess...

Know what you mean... nowadays, though, Honey Nut Cheerios seems pretty darn sweet to me.

Lucky Charms? I can eat it, but it tastes like little pieces of cardboard with small, chalky sugarcubes in it.

Give me my sugar straight up on the flake, not messin' around trying to be sure I get the right marshmellow-cereal ratio to taste good! *laughing*

Heh, I was a MEAN Mama! I made a rule that I would not buy cereal for the kids that had over 10 grams of sugar per serving. Showed the kids where to find that info on the box. When they'd ask for a cereal they'd seen on a commercial, I'd just say, "Check the sugar," and they'd groan. The only time I let them have the sugary stuff was when we were on vacation at Perdido Key. We'd roll into town, stop at the grocery story and load up on the packages of the individual boxes of cereals. That way they could have several kinds of the sweet stuff without my having to buy big boxes of each kind.

I loosened up a bit when Honey Nut Cheerios came along, but I still made them mix it with regular Cheerios.

As a kid I used to have a bowl of Frosted Flakes and then pour two spoonfulls of sugar in the milk :) I can't even imagine eating that today!

Lucky Charms rule :)
