Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You can always warm up in the cold, but you can't cool down in the heat.

That is exactly opposite of reality! I can *never* warm up when it is cold. I can always cool off!

Guess you could always try embroidering a rose border around the "Harley Davison."

Think I'll bring sweats to change into instead of shorts.

I'm thinkin' that might be a plan. :-)

Seriesly, if it is under 75 I will be shivering!

There aren't enough layers available to ever warm me up enough! If it's too hot - there is always water somewhere. And I don't mind gettin' wet!

I think Ruthy and I have been un-invited!

Not at all! - I just can't help you with this weather thing. This is not Texas... and it ain't Florida. It doesn't look, smell or feel like either one, and yet, I happen to think it is the best place on earth. All I can do is hope for the best weather we can get that week, and be happy with whatever comes. :~D

Roger that... I can't imagine being so dependent on weather. If it ain't worth doing in the rain... it ain't worth doing.

Rohirrim Alert!

Karl Urban, Eomer in the LOTR movies, has a major role in The Chronicles of Riddick, which premieres June 11.

I used to have a long sleeved one like that. I think I gave it away. Pretty sure I did. The rose was pink. I don't like pink.

And let us struggle to stay warm however we can without throwin' us in the ice pool!

Oh, sorry, it's a movie coming out June 11. It stars Vin Diesel, reprising the character named Riddick, whom he played in the movie Pitch Black.
