Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Goodnight Ruthy. The last storm is here now. Doesn't sound as bad as the one that broke the window. So far.

Night Night!

Let's see if I can find some chamomille. I'm down to my last green tea bag and I had green tea last night.

Howdy everyone! - Got all the dock/deck surfaces painted... was hot today high was 72, which was awful hot painting... paint was dryin' on the roller!

Well... if it's anything like North Phoenix Baptist...

Dang... that place was a non-stop rockin' and rollin' thang.

But then... it seated about 10K. Yowsers.

The big storm... is clocking 70 to 80 MPH winds.

See - That ~never~ happens here.

You would like the ones Rose and I like then. We were thinkin' we were the only ones in the Hobbit Hole that liked rockin' churches!

Winds are okay. Long as they don't tear stuff up.

Here, they tear stuff up sometimes. One of the hardest things for me to get used to in this house was that I miss hearing the wind blow at night. Somehow, that wind was something that made it feel that everything was *right* with the world, and I could sleep soundly. Here, it was too quiet. Cept the traffic noise in the front part of the house.

I agree with you... unfortunately I live in a place where it sometimes doesn't get *below* 80...

Well... good night. I have another day out at the client site, but then all Friday at the office. Shouldn't be too bad. If I can roll out of bed tomorrow, anyway.

I should go to bed too, I'm tired enough.

So bring a sweatshirt and jeans. And shorts and a tee shirt in case you get brave for a minute. It is really quite marvelous here when it is 70.... and if I get 70 on my wedding day I will throw all complainers right in the drink! :~D

LOL... "72" and "freezing" don't EVEN belong in the same sentence. Except that one.

FYI: "72" is actually "Warm". Yahsure... "80" is "Hot", and "90" is "insufferably and cruelly hot".

But then again... 90 here is worse than 110 in Phoenix.
