Evenin'... nice night here. I'm getting my act together for tomorrow, my uncle's meeting my sister and me for breakfast early - eh, nice chance to catch up and I don't turn down free meals.
How was Fangorn? I had a bizness meetin' for almost an hour today. I don't get many of those.

I was just thinking today that, while I haven't been happy in my job for ~ oh about 2 1/2 years, wonder why ~ it was at least tolerable when my office was upstairs.
I try to tell myself it's not that bad and it's gonna change one way or another in a year and a half (changing of the guard). But man I hate being so close to those people.
Mmm.... I hate my job some mornings. But I only have six weeks left, and I have no reason to hate it, everyone's decent and the work's good. I guess it's just I'd rather sit and do nothing.
I mainly need to adjust my attitude. The job will change, in time. Always does.
Well, you're allowed to grumble as much as you'd like here. That's what the Hole is for, after all.

Church of God in Christ, Church of God, Pentecostal, they're all saints. When my mamma was a child --- the early 1920s --- the folks who went to the Holiness Church were called "saints," and they referred to their church as "Sanctified." The Sanctified ladies were easy to spot; they wore white all year 'round, and ankle-length skirts. they weren't allowed to wear jewelry other than their wedding rings and a watch. They called one another "Brother" and "Sister."
Last night, I was describing Greater Lincoln Park Church, in San Antonio. I attended that church many years ago. Since then, the preacher I described, Elder David Ellis, left one son in charge of the San Antonio Church and founded the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, MI. David Ellis died some time ago, and left another son, Charles III, in charge of the Detroit church.

This is Greater Grace Temple City Of David (a new Pentecostal flavor) in Detroit. Warning; the "Our Finisher" "clip" is nearly 30minutes long, and others are longer. He's so-so as a preacher ... but I do believe I was there at his very first sermon, when he was six? Seven? I'm watching the "Our All-Sufficient Father" video under "Archived Videos," and he sounds more like his daddy --- and rather conservative.
Now let's see what he does with that pretty navy blue handkerchief ...

Ladies oughta wear hats to church. I'm usually the only one, though.
Our preaching is also a lot more subdued than some folks - not quiet, but he appeals more to minds than emotions (he hits your heart on the way to your brain.). Half the time, I come out nearly in tears, or laughing. But every week I feel edified.

Lembas :) Just kidding! :) I'm hesitant to say exactly because I sort of gave away a trade secret earlier in the thread if any of our competitors are lurking, but I was careful to leave out some key details. Without being too specific, my partner is one of my Kung Fu teachers who is a whiz in applied chemistry and is using his knowledge to corner a segment of the alternative medicine market. I help him with writing promotional material, website design, things like that. The line of product we've been developing the past few years is a type of non-aspirin home remedy which helps relieve symptoms and accelerate healing from pain, bruises, sprains, strains, arthritis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and a number of related ailments. We market to traditional and alternative medical suppliers and consumers, the sports medicine market, martial artists, etc.
The bunnies sound cute :) Just hope they don't eat your garden!
