New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
So, Myranda went around tellin' people all over Germany that she was Jewish. She justifies this little lie by the heirs by adoption scripture. She is outgoing and strikes up conversations with any and everybody. Said she liked starting conversations with people on trains and in restaurants there and then tellin' 'em she was Jewish and there to trace her roots.
*rolling eyes*
My kids is twisted! I love it. LOL
never mind
Yawn... checkin' in before bed. That was pretty awesome, attending a communion service with 3000 people. All the local elders showed up to help serve. The music was good. But I figured out why they call Presbyterians "Frozen Chosen". I've never seen such a crowd of people singing without deviating from a perfectly upright, motionless position.
And so white! There were a few who weren't - I saw some Japanese pastors - but 95% balding white men. It was incredible anyway. I feel very moved. And now I'm going to bed.
HOLYSMOKES!!! What the heck do you *do* with that thing? Looks like some sort of portable radiation detector or something. Or maybe a long range bug-zapper of some kind.
Sadly, it wasn't. It's a no-go. Boy, am I ever glad I'm going on vacation. I definitely need to get my mind off of things.
You need to come to church just once with me and Rose. Just once. You don't have to do it again.
LOL! Thanks for the much-needed laugh! It's only made better because I can actually "hear" you saying it.
OH oh..... Sorry to hear the no-go. :-(
I can't wait! :-)
Um... I might die, you know. Heart attack. At my age.
Actually I used to go to your sort of church, WN - you know where I'd love to go sometime? A black church, somewhere where they've got those great musical harmonies. I love singing in choir but we're so stinkin' white sometimes, it's scary.
Oh, and nowhere that they handle snakes. I don't do snakes. Right? ;-)
Ehh, she's just funnin'. She doesn't really use anything like that.
I think we can help in the getting-minds-off-things department. Yes... I'm pretty sure of that.
I wouldn't use anything like that either... unless of course I needed to weld some aluminum or something. Maybe it would work for that. :-)
Yes and no Mostly just turn it around till it's at the top!... and mine is a lot littler than that one, crummy old thing, had it for years.
The only good snake is a dead snake.
Any church that is all one ethnicity disturbs me. I like more variety in my life! My friends are varied in their backgrounds, therefore my church family should reflect that.... or vice versa.... or something like that.

ROFL! 3000 people for communion is pretty awesome--been to a few services that size, it's quite an experience!
You have your work cut out for you.
We have power tools. :-) No worries.
She uses it on your beard doesn't she? :-)
My church represents the ethnicity of the immediate area... although a couple dozen miles to the east, we have very large Indian communities, but mostly they attend Hindu temples, not Presbyterian churches. Pittsburgh is not a very ethnic place. Or rather, they think "Italian" and "Polish" qualify as minorities.
Of course, that doesn't explain General Assembly.
Yawn. I really am going to bed.
