Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Morning- Today is the last big push on my current project. I brief it today (barring some last minute rescheduling and then the report goes out. My heart is broken for not being able to get to DC today. We will try to go tomorrow.

And the work situation is going to be OKish after all. Thanks everyone for the prayers! That's good news!
Sorry I wasn't around last night...had a lot going on. Didn't have much reading time, either! Tonight should be more laid back, though I think the bothers wanted to do something.

Anybody ever heard of Pocky? Not bad stuff. As in Pocky sticks - thin cookie sticks dipped in dark chocolate?
I love those things.

She still needs prayers and recovery time. But she actually hopes to go home tomorrow after they run a few more tests. Good to hear! And I'll keep prayin'. Hope it works out for her to come home today.

Morning, Corin.
Glad to see your Mom is better.
Continued prayers for her, though.
Keep up the good work.

I saw the show too! Another murder that, although an interesting story, I didn't feel too involved with.
Heck, police are often corrupt...I mean, here they'll stop a housewife for accidently turning where there's a concrete median in the road and she can't get across so she safely executes the turn by driving in the oncoming lane briefly with nobody coming.
Gotta give said housewife a $150 ticket, doncha know...such a threat to society.
But when a teenager vandalizes said housewife's property and she calls the police, well...now that teenager is the kid of an old buddy, doncha know, and they'll just have a friendly word with their daddy about it.
Still, it was exciting to see the area and hear about GH and such...

Morning!
It's looking pretty decent here. A little warm, and the AC won't come on for some reason. It should be an ok day. I think my mom wants to go jean shopping tonight.

It cooled down again here. Brrr... At least the weekend should be warm - in the low seventies, which is just about perfect in my mind.

Yeah, that sounds really nice to me, too.
Last night I packed three boxes of books. All my winter clothes are in a nice storage bin, and I threw away everything that doesn't fit or makes me ugly. I'm working on the gradual boxing of all my possessions...
