Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I have resisted and she has quieted down a bit. WHEW!
But will it last? *laughing*
PE and msdrby are going through new baby boot camp right now. We won't see them much until Abby is about 4 months old. I can't blame them. When you get a spare moment, there are too many other things to do besides chat with us!
Like SLEEP!

Sleep? People get to sleep when they have new babies? That is a new concept to me!

I hear ya, chica.
But remember that He always provides what we need.
As long as I can get the mortgage paid, I consider each month a victory! I know lots of folks who make TONS more than I do and they cannot imagine how I support 2 kids, myself and my mom on $34k a year.
I can't figure it out either. It's just one of those things I let God handle. He's better with it than I am. *smile*

Know what you mean Ruthy. It's amazing what you can do with only a little when you're raising kids. Truly amazing! God takes care of things in the biggest and smallest of ways!

Don't I know it!
I took only two weeks maternity leave for Alyson, remember? And the "help" that was promised by one and all soon vanished in the light of reality.
So, I completely understand how difficult it is to work and have a newborn. They have each other for support though, and that is a real blessing in times like these!

I remember being astounded when I heard you'd only taken 2 weeks off with Alyson. That just sounded impossible to me. I still can't imagine how tired you stayed all the time but I know it had to be totally God getting you through that time!

Amen! I still can't figure out how I did it. And there are *seriesly* times that I can't remember how I got to and from work. YIKES!

I like it! Good tagline!
I think the thing that made me start thinking of not only the small things but the big things was way back when Myrnada was very small. Jill was prolly 12 and I was thrown out to support them after not working for 6 years.
One of my friend's husbands started talking about how God cared for stuff so small that He designed a chigger's heart! It was a funny little discussion and it sure cheered me up on a day when I *really* needed it.

It sure is a comfort to know that He's looking out for us, right?
Otherwise, I'd be completely freaking out right now!
