Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yep, 52 years...they just said so on MSNBC...
Can you imagine? You really only have one lifetime to form that long of a bond with another person...does that make sense?

She is now relieved of the stress of caring for him, but she will now have to deal with the quiet of ~not~ having him to care for.
The quiet will not start for a few weeks, but that will be a new kind of grief for her probably.

Right. I remember when caring for my grandmother. When she passed away, just the change in routine was hurtful.

The Depot was going to charge me $1.15 per. But I got them at a local hardware store for $0.98 (and the nice guys helped me load them into my vehicle). They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, the dimensions for mine were 8"x8"x16".

I've tried, really, since Lent to avoid the Religion Forum. Or at least to avoid arguing there. But
this thread really pi$$e$ me off.

It's been pulled. But I saw it before it was, and I agree. There is no limit to the arrogance of some.

*ugh*
I stay away from the religion forum.
I get way too hot headed, especially with the "King james version is the only true and inspired word of God" types.
They really didn't like it being pointed out that the scriptures were originally written in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic and not King James english.
Cool down over here with us.
