Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I've got my fingers crossed that it was all just some sort of mistake, and he's OK.

OK, I understand a quest, IF this is something you want to own more than one day! - We can really do it the other way nicely.... without spendin' any more $$$ than you already have!

I'm hungry.

Then I recommend a burger! Diggin' this thing up takes more calories than you are gonna get out of that rubbery neck!

I'm pretty excited...already hauled my luggage down from the attic.

I'm not really just dying to get away from here, but I really am excited about getting to!

It's gonna be a blast!

Sure.... there are oysters around. We don't have any wild right around the house, but they might be able to be purchased....

VBS starts tomorrow. Ha! Remember that year when I used to get so anxious about sending them? Well, the next year I sent them to two different VBS's and then last year they went to THREE! They are going to three this summer too. Our church starts tomorrow, then my friend's church has theirs the next week at the Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) and then my mom's church has theirs!

They don't have to go, but they love it!

The thing we have a lot of around the house are those little butter clams. And they are just inches down and easy to dig. Trouble is, we won't have time to dig them and also let them clean out. They're full of sand, until you let them sit in a clean bucket of water for a day or so, changing the water with fresh sea water every couple hours. They're high maintenance.

I know!! I can't wait!!

I better go to bed if I intend to get them up in time for the VBS...

See you tomorrow...I'll be alone at my mom's babysitting the poodles while they go out of town for the day.

I'll have cable TV and cable modem!

Yep...now that's a bummer. But didn't you say you could purchase them?

I don't know how to cook them...steam them, I guess?

Gosh, now I'm starving!! LOL

Oh yeah - you can buy them, and restaurants will cook them for you. That's the only way I ever have them!
