Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, obviously it's Friday, if corsets and such are the best we have to talk about!
I think it's going to rain here. At least I don't have outside plans this weekend.

Remember that 4 inch high stack of paperwork I mentioned last night? It's still here.
Worse yet, it's actually grown overnight to 6 inches high.
I'd better get started on it before it decides to have another growth spurt. ;-)

Good morning, and good morning all!
Today we are going to the beach house.... partly to work, but also because it is going to be an amazing tide today, extremely low, -4.2 at 12:49 pm followed by a very hight tide - 14.0 at 8:34 pm... I like really low tides where you can see all the flora and fauna that gets beached then, and I want ecurbh to see it.
And my friend Kay is bringing Jessie the flower girl there to play so she has seen it before. Lovely day here today, little chilly at 45 this morning, but expected to be 78 as the high today.

I can't wait to see the Sound...I've never been to Washington before...the whole thing is gonna be major experience for me. The only place on the west coast I've ever been was San Diego for my honeymoon.

Listening to Martha Stewart.
She's doing exercises that "open up the chest" and "release the spine".
Yikes...sounds like an autopsy!

It'll be neat for ya! There is a negative tide too on the 19th... down to -1.1, which still uncovers some interesting stuff you won't have seen every day!

If I see an extraordinary shell, I'll plant it in a place where you are sure to find it when you are here! How bout that!
