Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

And probably died of crushed internal organs. Blah.

I had blueberries with my flax cereal this morning. Mmmm... Can't wait for the fresh kind! Be about another month or so, I think.

I haven't lost too much 'there', thankfully!

What I like about Atkins is how it seems to help my body regenerate - I'm losing weight, and I haven't ended up with big rolls of loose skin anywhere. And the stretch marks are disappearing, too.

Good for her. And Marilyn Monroe was, I think, a size 16, so beauty comes in many sizes.

How did those women have children? It should have killed them!

He ate nearly the entire cereal bowl full of them and then asked for a bowl of cereal too.

That's different. She's naturally tiny there.

Besides, she's what, about five feet tall if she's got shoes on?

Hm...that's something I really hadn't thought much about. I mean...they wouldn't use a corset during their "confinement", I'm assuming...but I wonder if the way their insides were messed up because of years of wearing corsets had anything to do with high mortality rates in childbirth.

That's what I've always wondered. It can't be good to change shape that radically. And I'll bet it made pregnancy really uncomfortable.

We keep a lot of valuable organs in that area! Squishing them isn't good.

Indeed it does. I remember the grief Barbara Bush got because she was a size 16, following Nancy Reagan's size 4. But she handled it with style and said "I'm a grandmother for heaven's sake!"

(y'all do know I'm just havin' a little Friday fun don't ya?)

But I assume she DOES wear footwear!

I remember seeing a report at one time that showed how it permanently changed the way women were shaped - they'd start wearing corsets as young girls, and by the time they were older, their ribs and internal organs were NOT in the proper places. Eww! No thanks!

Oh - yes, lets talk about women's sizes Corin! Sounds like just the thing to send me into a deep depression!

Just kidding.... Good morning. We are ~out~ of coffee here. I must go to the store.
