Moon Mist
I looked at this, tonight,
and my first thought was of you.
But, all my thoughts are about you, lately.
Pale, pure, and perfect -
your love is like all these,
soft like light from the face
that gazes, and sees all,
in the night.
And then, the clouds, the mist
begins to shroud and cover
my lovely view, the loveliest you,
cross words, no more smile,
no face, no Moon, just Mist,
without even a star to guide me.
