If you'll sell it on the bargain book table, I will buy it. Though I don't know why, I have no time (or space) for photography or reading.

Don't ever let your gender or age scare you away from the fun of cooking (or anything else reasonable)!

As far as you being dissatisfied with the way you appear in photographs, the best advice I can give you is to relax. Your mirror is the best way to find it and learn how it feels.

I smile with my eyes and a slight upturn (sometimes) of the corners of my mouth. I do not flash my teeth. I have been this way all my life. I have good teeth but I never liked to smile with them on film. If a photographer wants me to smile, I tell them, "this is as smiley as I get".

Everyone has a best smile and a best angle, tilt of the head, etc... A good photographer will alway find that, if you let them.

I know my Best, (not too good), and whenever possible, (group pictures require compromises), I use it.

Aluminum Overcast

The skies were dark with bombers,
Most were B 17s.
The crews were brave and trusted,
The big flying machines.
Some who left would not come back,
But to the air they’d take.
No they did not want to die,
But freedom was at stake.
They kept the faith, on they flew,
To stop the enemy.
They took the fight to Hitler,
Right into Germany.
We owe them all a thank you,
They put it on the line.
So give them thanks for freedom,
I thank them all for mine.

I dedicate this poem to Bill Hendon. The little balding B-17 ball turret gunner on the right side of the above photo.

Bill and his wife Lucy celebrated their 56th anniversary the day Laura and I got married 3/27/4. They were guests of honor at our reception and Laura presented the bouquet to Lucy, pictured below.

The Hendons have been friends with Laura’s family since the 50’s. If you know a WWII Vet, thank them now.

See post # 50.

Carlin said he did not write that. Neither did Ted Nugent so Conpiracy Guy is going to claim it until the Unknown Author shows up. : )

Good morning, Bro

You know I have always been a sleepy head. I think you arrived right after I went to bed. Hope you are still here.

Are you having a good day, ((((( Bro ))))) ?

Salesman, appoaching small boy and dog on front porch of home, "Hi, Sonny, does your dog bite?"

"Nope"

Salesman reaches out to pet the dog, gets nipped. "Hey! I thought you said your dog doesn't bite!"

"That's not my dog."

The dog in the picture is not my dog. My dog couldn't scare up an echo.

I'm not sure if a back massage would help or not. I know that the whirlpool
seems to help. I've also been putting the cold pack/gel pack on it several times
a week.

Reminds me .... this would be a good time to put it on again.
