Garden question fer the ladies. Now that they've bloomed and I've dead-headed all the daffodils, do I cut back the foliage? Or do I let it die? I fergit.
I got lots o' weedin' to do. I'm gonna need some kneepads fer all the work in the dirt.
Reckon I'll need tuh go shoppin' in Rivendell agin...

Evening Corin; subbing for LSA here on the "Lady Gardner" question. Let the leaves die down naturally, the leaves continue to nourish the bulbs and you'll get blooms next year. If they happen to be a spot that is destined for other things, dig them up and let the leaves dry on the stem with the bulb. Then replant bulbs in the appropriate spot.
Our columbines are in full bloom and we're seeing some of the daylilies starting to bud. The second round of iris is coming on, these are the yellow/gold ones, the purple have departed. All the black locust trees are in full bloom, pretty early this year, normally Memorial Day.
Good luck with the gardening.
