According to the official NaNoWriMo rules, you may do as much prewriting, plotting, outlining and whatever else as you like. You just can't actually write the thing.

I can deal with that :) I used to edit my nonfiction in my head, maybe I can write something in my head like that, then when November rolls around I'll just have to type it. That's the only way I can see writing that many pages in one month! BTW, since there's official rules, do you actually have to submit the story somewhere when it's done?

I torture my characters for fun. Um. It's a good way to unwind, I've found. But I can only torment characters I care about. It's weird.

That is weird! Hmmm, wonder if I do that?--will have to think about it. It reminds me of when I used to be Dungeon Master and I liked playing the villain to see what I could put my friends through--it was fun keeping them in suspense about how they were going to survive the plots I concocted :)

Oh, I might as well send you something, but it's going to need massive revision.

Alright, I promise to be nice, then :) Besides I'm obligated to be nice because I know if I'm not you'll get me back when I send you mine :)

Well, good night to all and sundry. Met my word count, so that's all my weekend goals taken care of.
