Am I allowed to cheat by starting before November? Can I at least start an outline? :)

I bet it's nice to have the setup done! I know how happy I was when I got past the background and into the action chapters where all the Big Bad Things started happening. The story really started writing itself at that point. Wonder why it's so much easier to write when we're tormenting our characters?--hmmm, must be a secret of writing, I'll have to remember that next time I get writer's block: when all else fails, torture your characters! :)

Glad to hear uncool sister have given you a Potter Plagiarism Nihil Obstat! So when do the rest of us beta-readers get to see the new chapters?--you've got me in suspense here! :)

According to the official NaNoWriMo rules, you may do as much prewriting, plotting, outlining and whatever else as you like. You just can't actually write the thing.

I torture my characters for fun. Um. It's a good way to unwind, I've found. But I can only torment characters I care about. It's weird.

Oh, I might as well send you something, but it's going to need massive revision.
