I give you my admiration!! I am waiting on my sis-in-law to come down because she wants to write as well, and we hope to use each other as muses. She has a few ideas for some comedy books and I need someone who would be willing to be my sounding board while I try to talk myself out of some of the tangles I have created. You sound like you have the same problem i do with narrative and description : I hear the conversations a lot better than seeing the imagery I want the reader to see.

And I am largely kerflempt because it seems like no matter what I devise, someone says "oh yeah, that's in LOTR as well, isnt it?" ARGH!!

Anyway, I wish you good luck on your writing!

Thank you!

I have heard that inside every hopeful writer is a million words of crap that have to come out first. By my calculation, I'm over halfway to being able to write something decent. Um, as long as I'm allowed to count the 250k or so words I wrote during my career as a fanficcer.

There's nothing better than a good beta-reader! I'm hoping to get my story to a point I can send it off to my dear friend and co-conspirator soon. I'm a little nervous, because if anyone can see through the story to it's origins, she will... there was one story I wrote years ago that she saw right through and understood what it was really about. She's like the older sister I've never had.
