Might go out for Thai food for dinner, though.

Mmmm. Thai food!! That's an idea for this week while Clare and Joseph are gone! Paul and David LOVE Thai food, and that will be a nice treat since we're gonna be workin them hard this week! ;o)

So...I was gonna tell ya...no promises, but... Turns out the family that Margaret and Stephen were down visiting have THREE sons in Colorado. I guess I'd kinda known that, but it was before you were gonna go there, and I didn't really think much about it. However, it turns out they all live in...*drum roll* Fort Collins! AND they're going out to visit 'em in August. Now...I know you may already have started school...but I did ask if I could maybe ride with 'em if they go, and they said sure. So - maybe we could visit earlier than we thought? I figure even if you're in school during the day, I could always amuse myself wandering around and then we could do stuff in the evenings.

Of course, this may depend on my work schedule. I can't remember when school starts here, but I can't leave too near the beginning of school.

And another thing, though this is far more iffy...

Remember I've been waiting and hoping to find out I got at least a cost-of-living raise this year. However, as it turns out, because my job falls under a union that is still being negotiated, they aren't giving any raises, until if and when they figure out the rules. All well and good for people who are making it, but I'm not. Something has to change.

Bottom line...I'm starting to think a bit more seriously about taking you up on the room mate offer. Can I bring a cat and a dog? ;-)

I still dunno, but my firm "no" is becoming a little squishier. I'm almost thinking of trying to set up job interviews if and when I go out there with that family.

The Thai place was closed, so we came home and ate African chicken, cooked by Little One (daughter). Her boyfriend had the recipe for that, his family lived in Africa for awhile. Very good.

My favorite Thai dish might be basil chicken, though I like the satay pretty well. I read that the name "satay" comes from Thais trying to say "steak," they can't put a T right after an S, kind of like Spanish speakers can't put a P after an S unless they put an E in front.

BTW, to my knowledge, sashimi is usually raw also, just doesn't have the rice ball under it. I believe sushi is just sashimi served on a rice ball.
