Mornin'

Havin' muh coffee afore I go down to the pool for our workday. Hopefully won't be there more than a couple hours.

I'm sending Mrs., Nana and Luke off this evenin' to go to a family reunion. I wuz goin' but Jr. has a class and a meeting for his Brazil trip tomorrow that he can't miss.

But I'm getting a grapevine and some more lilies (although not the typical lilies) from the trip. I'll need to find a picture of these lilies, they're kinda different. Heck, may not even be lilies...

Morning All; got Gypsy walked and all seems quiet in the 'shire'. Heading to the recycling center then to Longview Garden Center for some plants, need basil and a couple three others.

Had a bit of excitement, the neighbors cat ambushed a male cardinal at our bird feeder. I laid hands upon said cat and explained that this sort of behavior was not acceptable. The cat was apparently chagrined and decided to release the bird (which flew off) upon which I continued to explain that we would appreciate a modicum of decorum in the future and then placed said cat outside our fence.

LSA had the hose ready the second day and reinforced the concept of civil behavior when visiting others. We shall see how the mini-drama develops.
Corin; good luck on the 'work day' hope the rest show up.

g'nad; Saturday - Town Day - swimming in the Niangua, sounds pretty cool. Taking a float trip on the Ni might be an appropriate ancillary activity for the gathering next year.

OT: LSA got some lemon basil but she says she needs the regular stuff. The Catalpas are in full bloom in the parks. Quite a showy tree.
