Saw a news story the other day about killer whales getting closer to shore up there than they usually do... was wondering if there are any visible where you're at...?

I haven't seen the killer whales now for quite some time. The "J" pod that is resident in the area seems to be hanging out for the longest time up in the San Juans, and bouncing back and forth between USA water and Canadian water. That's about 120NM north of here.

We've occasionally seen Grey whales here, but only in onesies and twosies, when they get lost in Puget Sound momentarily on their way between the gulf of AK and the Sea of Cortez in MX.

Sometimes the dolphins/porpoises find there way down here, but mostly that too is when they just get lost and it takes them a while to find their way back out of the Sound again. Mostly those are Pacific Whiteside Dolphin. Black, with a white splash down the side.
