BTW I meant to mention I had kind of an unnerving experience today. I was rearranging my bedsheets when this big spider ran out from under the covers and then ran under another cover so deep I couldn't find him again. Now I'm not particularly afraid of spiders, but I've recently seen some pictures of brown recluse spider bites which can get pretty nasty (if you have a strong stomach, see Brown Recluse), and I know there are recluses around here and they like to hide under covers, so I'm a little wary. I couldn't tell what species the spider was, unfortunately.

*shudders*
The missus got bit on the arm while we were CAMPING by a recluse.
She has an oval scar on her arm from the crater that opened up on the site of the bite.

One of the Girl Scout leaders got bitten by a brown recluse spider on the Encampment we went on weekend before last. She's got a NASTY looking area on her forehead where it bit her. It had been in her sleeping bag. I made sure to roll my bag up tight before I left the tent in the morning so no critters had a chance to move in while I was gone!
