Oh, we're having a lovely thunderstorm. Really loud thunder. Glad my computer's plugged into a surge protector.
If I don't have choir, I'll lift, then read a little - halfway through my reread of "Otherland", I was inspired to finish the reread by "Troy" the other night. Quartet by Tad Williams. Amazing series.
Then I'll watch one, or maybe two, Kenshin. I'm on disk 11. Sigh. It'll be done soon. You on the other hand are about the start the Kyoto arc. You'll know it's started when the blood starts flowing.
Of course, it's starting to look like I'll be working late so evening plans may be moot. Ha! Another problem demolished. This is satisfying yet time-consuming.
We're supposed to get lots of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening and into the night, possibly with hail. I'm hoping it holds off until I'm home...after that I don't care.
Tonight is music night! I'm sitting here fidgeting 'cause I REALLY need to get at least the bare minimum of cleaning done before people show, and I'm at work doing nothing instead.
I never read Otherland. Is it related to the Trojan War?
I'm in the part where Kenshin got kidnapped by pirates. BTW, don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but I noticed the one episode with the train robbers mentioned trains were introduced in Japan "in the fifth year of the Meiji Era", so I guess that answers the question about what year the story is set in.
