So because some publically schooled kids aren't where they should be, and their parents defend them, you're concerned about homeschooling in general? That's not what I said Kevin. The vast majority of the kids my wife is teaching have been homeschooled all their lives.
My point was, we know most public schools suck. All of the arguments I get from homeschoolers is how their kids excel. For the most part, I believe that to be true.
But a good many of these kids (the majority) don't.

I'm really not clear on this "homeschool academy" thing - how does it work? It sounded at first like the co-ops my family's been involved in, but those were one day a week with classes taught by the moms. Or is it more of a high school program, in which case I'm wondering why it's called homeschooling?
