Hair: thank you for the welcome..."troublemaker" LOL

"HA, like I havent heard THAT before!" From that wormy little guy that betrayed Brendan to the Mummy. SamCree: I HATED her to begin with. The cow! The trollop! The heartless wench! SPOILER ---> Messing around with Jack and then hurting Stephen so badly! And then running off to be mistress after all that business about not wanting to be kept!! End spoiler.

But I like her now. She has redeemed herself...for the most part. I still wonder why Stephen continues to moon after her, but that's just him I guess. Another spoiler ---> the one I really want to kick in the teeth is Amanda Smith, but I dont know if you have gotten that far yet...or have you read through the series? I know Jack is rather a rake when it comes to women, but I can't help but like the guy. He genuinely likes women and life, especially if its at sea, I hate seeing any woman take advantage of him. Its like Villiers says "seducing him is like seducing a child." Amanda was tremendously ill-bred end spoiler

Okay, Sam ... I'm halfway through book 4, The Mauritius Command, and I don't get the attraction Stephen feels for Villiers.

I mean, Jack and Diana make sense ... he gets all ahoo over a woman, to the point of ruin, then rolls back upright. I did think Sophie was a little bland for him, but she'll do.

But what is it with Stephen and that greedy woman??? Jack and Stephen keep talking about her bravery, and her courage --- but she contributed to the death of a good man in India and keeps kicking Stephen around like a football.

Do the men find her so attractive because she's heedless?
