Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I broke down and bought the RotK DVD today--wasn't sure I was going to but once I actually had a copy in my hands I couldn't resist :) Will probably watch it sometime this weekend, too.

Hey, I guess we're getting a Tom and Jerry cartoon about a magic ring before the main feature--just like a real theater :)

Since it's uncool sister we're talking about here, I had to supervise starting her on Kenshin. But she watched the first four episodes without showing any ill side effects, so I gave her the disk and let her go. She now has two months to finish watching my collection. Shouldn't be too hard for her.
Now... if we can get rid of the grandmother, it's writing time...

Good idea supervising uncool sister so that she's properly initiated into the Kenshin-Gumi :) Isn't cool sister joining her?
Good luck with grandmother! You must have cranked out a bunch of new pages over the past few days :) My novel editing ideas are starting to come together, but still in my head moreso than on paper. Right now I'm working on this article on Kerry while I wait for RotK to start.

Well, for some reason Cartoon Network didn't follow their schedule. When I click on the remote the banner at the top says RotK is showing, but it's not. Sorry--sigh.

Cool sister is already Kenshin-gumi! She saw it before I shipped it back.
I've written close to 8000 words since Thursday. My goal is to have my story at 40,000 (from 28,000) by tomorrow night. I know a lot of this is going to get scrapped, but I just need to move things forward. I don't even have time to think of a list of questions (like yours) that need answering, I just have to start writing again or I'll never get anywhere.

WoolarocFor one thing, Woolaroc was too expensive! We drove out there and decided it wasn't worth the cost and ended up driving to a dairy to buy some milk but the place was CLOSED cause it's SUNDAY!
They were milking the cows though, and we watched that through a big plate glass window.
Been watching Terminator since we got home...now we're gonna start getting ready for the bar that plays the irish music...you know the place...I had to talk Steve in to taking my a long time ago...very seedy. But it was great music! I hope it still is.
Will check back when we get in if possible.
Steve is putting up the tent in the back yard so we have a chance to "sneak freep"...
