Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

did I tell y'all I've got this little windows media player screen runnin' on the corner of my laptop here in Fangorn? The trolls aren't here... "very handy in a tight spot these lads...despite the fact they're dead..."

Ummm yea you don't want people to be able to tell you are "cold" THAT'S what I'm thinkin'! Of course, you know the dress I'm takin' to wear. And you have identified the reason the matching jacket is going along with it! :-)

What about a hot tub? A hot tub sounds more like it, now that you describe the "drink"!

I was going to have some shorts and a top available there too because ya know, you can't exactly "sit" in all positions in a dress.Which EXACTLY is why I don't recommend them! We have a ~few~ lawn chairs that will be spread around, but the best sitting opportunity is the rocks of the bulkhead, or sitting on the dock, or right on the sand or on the grass. I just don't want people fussy about whether they can just sit down all for the sake of wearing something 'nice' looking. Clam diggers, shorts, or if you MUST, a dress that is comfortable or long enough to straddle a rock in without ending up in Playboy. :~D

Don't want your thermostats to show? Precisely! First PurpleQ told me that I oughtta leave the jacket at home cause it kinda dresses up the dress... NOW I think she's got the bigger picture.
not to mention that she knows more about my dressing habits than most should know.

Ya'll think I better carry some thigh-high boots to wear at the beach too? In order to keep warm and keep my thermostats in good order?

No formal portraits??? Informal portraits, as part of the reception - mingle stop and pose, mingle.
There are only a couple shots that I really want to get... the "bride and groom" shot against the water, and a group shot of everyone in attendance at the wedding. Other than that, it will be informal (compared to some weddings) posing with our families and candids of everybody.

or if you MUST, a dress that is comfortable or long enough to straddle a rock in without ending up in Playboy. :~DGirl, I posted that pichur of the dress! It is above the knee! I can sit on a rock in it and still be appropriate for much longer than 4 minutes but now I'm thinkin' I'm gonna stick with my shorts again!!! Fooey! With all your arguin' today, I may even end up with a tattoo peekin' out if'n it gets warm enough! :-D
