Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I like AC/DC and Jimmy Buffet. Rush is okay. But, we need a nice mix so everyone has stuff they like. :-)
I'll have my new Chris Ledoux CD I think... if I don't forget. :-) I was gonna tease Ruthy with it but I don't think she saw my post.
How 'bout ZZ Top? Ruthy and I both like ZZ Top. Got any? I got one only.

I'm completely embarrassed to say that I don't have any ZZTop... which is a sudden mystery to me. Love 'em.

Ah, yes, Hooters without the cloth.

Oh, Master Sea-man, you haven't lived till you hear Etta break down "Almost Persuaded," which most people rate as a country song. It's not; it's a lament.
MP3s, or straight audio?
To: Rose in RoseBear
I'm fixin' ta get a new CD player, and I'll make sure it can play mp3's... so no worries.

Get the new Sony SACD player (I bought it this winter). The SACD and DVD audio is unbelievable. Price is only a wee bit above the top line DVD-only players. Then get the "Let it Bleed" SACD. Wooohoooo.

Now I need to know about the country music channels up that-a-way. How many, and do any play anything besides "hot new country?"

My old CD player is... Tango Uniform. Its like most CD players, except for the part about *actually* playing CD's. That's the part it doesn't do.
Need new one.

I'm thinkin' that when Myranda moves to San Antonio I am going to have to part with her CD player. Which kinda sucks. Since she's been gone I have been buying CD's and then I won't get to play 'em. So, I guess I'm gonna have to buy one eventually too.
