Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We could do chamomille. That would help.

Drat, where do I know that song from? There was a movie...I don't remember what movie it's from. But you can get a clip of the song here--this is the album I have BTW:
Bing Crosby's Gold Records
It's song #21.

OK folks, fun and games have to end for me now. :-(
Alyson is fussing and I'm going to give her some mint tea and see if I can't get her to go to sleep finally.
I love you all very much! You brighten my life every day!!
Good night!

I think - yes! I remember it from "Hudson Hawke", which is either the worst Bruce Willis movie ever, or the most hilarious, depending on your point of view. (And yes, that includes "The Fifth Element").
Worth watching as long as you realize it's a comedy/spoof rather than something that takes itself seriously.
Yawn. Bedtime, but I got some seriously good writing in there.

I meant "5th Element" is one of the funniest Bruce Willis movies, not one of the worst! It might just be better than Die Hard!
With that cleared up, and 3000 words written, it's bedtime for sure this time.

Sorry. But, maybe blinding is a good sign. If Ramius is blinded then he'll *have* to let me drive his car! :-)
