Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

But there will be many more holes...so maybe that's something that could be used someday, who knows?

Hi everyone!
I didn't make it to work today because BOTH of my girls were up with a NASTY stomach flu all night long. Of course, after I'd called in, neither of them got sick for the better part of the day.
Whatever it was, the pediatrician sent medicine for them, just in case it show sup again tonight.*sigh*
I am terribly exhausted, but I rewarded myself today by going to WalMart and buying ROTK. Bills be durned (at least for a week).

*prayers for your girls!* Not long after we moved into this house, we all came down with the nasty stomach virus. Lovely way to break in new quarters, you know?!
Not sure when I will be able to get the ROTK. We are going to in laws this weekend...and they arent ones for movie-watching. I have been trying to make a convert out of my FIL of the Obrian series...he is a Korean War Vet (Marines) so I thought he'd appreciate it. So far so good.

Thanks Alkhin!!
I'll probably end up watching ROTK in parts throughout the week myself. Especially if I'm "interrupted" by my little ones...

Haven't seen it yet.
No, it's not my fault.
I deny involvement in any movie of any kind.

I did not find direct flights from Tulsa to Seattle. Anyway I looked you'd have to change planes. So, you might as well be stuck on the same plane as me and Ruthy.... if ya think you can *stand* us! :-D

We were almost to Walmart to buy groceries when I decided that buying groceries with someone that reminded me of a stump...a big silent unsociable stump...wasn't my idea of fun and we came home.
Steve and Matthew are off taking the recyclables to the recycle place.

I can indeed! The big silent stump approved it just before I got sick of him.
