Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Actually, Super Glue is just the ticket for this... but, I lost the nail. I was pickin' up a box of troop stuff and that nail broke and I can't find the broken end or I'd Super Glue it back. Is that TMI? :-)
It wouldn't work to scratch your back like that... but I could type. (I still have all the nails on the other hand. Can still scratch.)
Thanks. I will looks as good as I can. I am not an unhappy person. You know that.
Can't I have an emotional breakdown without being told I'm wrong, or shouldn't feel this way? :~D Stop it! My turn for a tantrum.
I'll be fine in the morning.
Ride now!! Ride now!! Ride to ruin! And the world ended!
[snif]
Depends. Are you screamin' like Sonya? If not, you can't have a tantrum.
I never scream...
Norwegians are too shy to be loud. We pout.
BTW, the world don't end.
Do you think it would help if I sprayed you with the hose???
Just wanna be helpful...
;-)
Good night!
Then you can't have a tantrum. Just a pout.
Hey honey...
Wanna join me on the couch for some South Park?
~smooch~
OK honey!
See ya later everyone, and sorry I belly-ached at ya.
Best place for it! --- (reserving my pout chip for next time I need to)
Someone else in the Hobbit Hole just returned from buying a DVD at WalMart! ~smirk~
Morning! Izzit Friday yet?
It is my last workday this week...I'm off to pick up me mum from an airport Thursday, and take her home...then spend hopefully not all day Friday replacing her bathroom faucet, with much fear and trembling.
"What General Weygand has called the Battle of France is over. The Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'"

...which afforded me yet another smile when I saw it the first time.
Mornin' all. Gotsa bored meeting today. See y'all tonite.
OK, well...I've slept on it, and though I really, really wannna see you, and I think camping would be a lot of fun, I think I'd better give up this particular scheme. There are just too many puzzle pieces to work out. For one, I'm supposed to pick up the kids halfway down the state on Saturday, so I'd have to figure out another ride for them, but the only person I can think of is Jim, who I'd hope could come with me...without him, I'd have no other even semi-adults along for the ride. And then I'd have to figure out a sitter for the dogs...usually I could ask Dad about leaving him home if there were younger kids around to keep an eye on them, but they're out and about all weekend, and though Jim housesit for me while I was at Entmoot, I had one less dog then, PLUS I'd like him to be along, as I said.
Then there's the issue of figuring out food for several days, so it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, which it would if we did much eating out, even at places like BK.
Margaret said "Buy her a bus ticket all the way here and we'll split the cost!", but I didn't think that would appeal much. ;-) They went on one long bus trip with Mom and have a much idealized view of what it's like. But the offer stands, I suppose!
On the other hand, I still get a moot with Suzi, and only an hour away! What a spoiled brat I is...
And if you're home over the summer (when do you leave?) maybe we can add your place to our road trip plan. We're still thinking about that. If we DID do it, it would probably be the last week of June...coming right up...scary! That's the only time Jim gets off, or in any case the only paid time off he gets.
Ah well. It would have been fun but I guess we really should have planned earlier.
We'll get together sometime. Too bad it can't be now, but I understand completely.
Another time, for sure!
Good morning!
