Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's just sleeping. I'm trying to rationalize insanity... ok, rationalized. Now to persuade Rosie.

Notice how the birds fell silent as Deagol climbed out of the water? The eeevil ring scared 'em.

Good evening everyone!
Ran 21 payrolls today and wanted to go home since 10 o'clock this morning. Sheesh!
Haven't gone out to buy ROTK yet since I'm still waiting to see if I can afford to get it before next payday. Good thing I've already seen it or I'd be half-insane by now!

Hi Ruthy. :-)
I was plannin' to get ROTK before the video shooting. But, 2 of my students backed out on me and I had to scramble to find 2 more. So, then I thought I'd pick it up when we were finished but we ran over an hour late. By the time I left I wanted nothing more than to come home and get comfy!
I think I'll be makin' a midnight run to WalMart. hehehe

But, it sounds like you're tryin' to spoil the fun. :-(
We'd be good. Promise! :-) Please? :-)

I have a Target and a Wal-Mart right up the road a piece, but I'm stuck at home tonight. *sigh*
Besides, $18.36 pays for my cable bill and that has to come first. I wish I wasn't so durned responsible sometimes.

[think think think]
Uh... dang. Sorry. :-P
But on the other hand I'm sure there are ways to pick people up at airports/trainstations/spaceports if we plan a little.

I'm gonna watch FOTR and TTT sometime during the week, so that'll help ease my impatience!
Sorry to hear about the unreliable students. I can't stand when folks do that!

Basic cable? Mine runs $45 and I get no premiums...just the cable news (FNC! rah rah rah!), C-SPAN, Comedy Central, and that lot.
The next lower tier for me would just be the broadcast channels...and maybe one or two others.
