Heh...I wonder why she's stopping with the Navigator instead of getting a big ol' Hummer...
Just kidding. Those, I really don't get. I guess it's just a status symbol. There's a lady in my town that has one...I see her around once in awhile, getting out of the thing just dressed to the nines. I think it's just kind of a way of flaunting that they CAN. Though admittedly...it WOULD be kinda fun to drive one. Just once.
Thunderstorm has started here... unfortunately if the power goes out, I lose internet connection, but can still do my work, so I can't even go home early.
I think I could handle being rich pretty well.
But the practical side of me knows that we might someday be able to "save" a little...and maybe get me a PT Cruiser. Oh baby baby, I really want one of them!

Then I gotta clean like crazy, since I have people coming for music night. Plus figure out what to have for dinner. I have leftovers, but still need to make some sort of side salad.

She just amazes me...she just bought the 300M a couple of years ago! Maybe not even that long ago!
I'm gonna leave around 4:30 or so. Get in a good workout tonight, and do some reading. I just wish it were farther into the week...
I'm not sure what vehicle I'd get if I could get anything...probably something not very exciting but comfortable and practical and with decent power, like maybe a Subaru Legacy with the heated seats and moon roof and all. I like a lot of the luxury wagons, I'm afraid! I'm just not very exciting.
But the PT Cruisers are cute, for sure! Too bad they're too low to the ground to be practical for around here. Plus I'd like to have AWD if I was gonna spend a bit.

I just fell in love with PQ's PT Cruiser...I've been nuts over them since. My brother has one...
My mom said in few years they'll sell me the Aviator, though...

ooo that's even better!! The one icon I have of pippin walking in with Gandalf is lyrics taken from an enya song...one I always think of when it comes to Pippin. It fits him so perfectly.
POB stuff is a bit harder to come by though...I had one icon made that quotes directly from one of the books and not the movie. What has been grossing me out with a majority of the LJ people is they are SO slash oriented. Its sick really to come across an otherwise nicely done icon but it has obvious slash implications and all one can do is think "EW!" I feel badly for these girls. They do not know Real Men...even when its right there in the book before them.
Can't you just see me one of those PT Cruisers, though, sis? Oh, I can sure see me in one!

Well, we are home from the store and all our errands. I had my mom's ring sized and cleaned and it is way too gorgeous to wear now! Gonna leave it off till the wedding.
And we got the RoTK DVD! - Starting the special features now while I make some seafood (scallops) pasta.
Yeah, it's really odd how much of fandom is slash-oriented. I got out of Harry Potter fandom when that became so dominant. I mean, good grief! Just because a story doesn't have many girls doesn't mean the guys are swishy, right?
I will admit my friend has a slightly slashier than I like tone sometimes, but it's usually fairly mild.
I managed to catch some of the Hornblower series with Ioan Griffud (Msp??) and while pleased, not entirely taken with the characters. Hornblower struck me as rather ...well, not as nice as Jack Aubrey. He seemed like he was only tolerating people and would rather be off somewhere NOT with them, no matter who they were. Ioan is a cutie, but I guess the answer is not really. Sorry :/
