New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I wish tonight wasn't music night! I'm betting my siblings will pick up a copy in any case, but I won't be able to watch it for a whole DAY! ;-)
For Two Towers, Wal-Mart was cheaper than just about anywhere. Even cheaper than Amazon, as I recall.
But I LIKE vegetables! Though I admit I'm trying some now that I'd never tried before. It's been fun experimenting!
Good morning!
*funkle*
I like some vegetables. I like green beans and I could eat brocoli for breakfast and I'm fond of salad. Just nothing fancy or weird.
Gah, very low on caffeinated substances. Will have to wait until 9 when the Eckerd on the corner opens.
I bet I could find "weird" things you'd like. ;-) Margaret is picky when it comes to vegetables, but I've found some things she likes if I make 'em right. Stephen and Bilbo are more like me: we LOVE food and love trying new things and new combinations. It's part of my problem...
But for the most part, I DO like the plain ol' things best. Broccoli, green beans, salad, radishes, cauliflower (I LOVE cauliflower) and other things that grow locally. Man...I can't wait until later in the summer when local veggies are available from neighbors and the farmer's market! There's nothing in the store that's near as good as just-picked vegetables...tiny fresh green beans and snow peas and tomatoes. Mmmm!
You sure make it sound good. I eat so few veggies, if it weren't for multivitamins I'd probably get scurvy or something.
Why am I so tired this morning?
Mornin'
Sorry I'm late, but I had some last minute pool stuff to do this morning. For better or worse we open on Saturday.
At the same time I was yellin' at Sen. Jon Corzine (NJ) on Fox this morning. He was readin' from the RAT playbook.
I hate lie'brals.
'Cause it's overcast pretty much everywhere, and you ran out of caffeine?
I'm sort of awake, but then I went to bed early, got up fairly early, and had a big breakfast and plenty of coffee.
Actually it's sunny here. I went to bed at eleven... couldn't sleep right away, of course, I'd only finished my exercise at ten and that always winds me up.
I skipped breakfast but that's nothing new. Must just be Tuesday.
Naw, they wanted to go camping anyways, but the parks are gonna be packed. They love camping out in the back yard. They haul the TV out there and watch movies and everything...they'll love it.
And it's supposed to hit and miss rain...we might have to change some plans...
Good morning!
Morning!
Ah, I'm much better now that I've got more caffeine. Guess I'm addicted. Oh well.
I drink coffee again now too...not as much as I used to but still! LOL
Speakin' of which...
Are they going to let your girls watch TV with them? :)
Who us? Naw, they'll haul the little DVD/TV combo out there and watch that.
We get the BIG TV! In the living room. With the soft chairs that recline! And the handy accessable popcorn!
A week passes much more easily when there's a three-day weekend to look forward to!
Also at this point I'm in "countdown to grad school" mode. I'm going to miss my family terribly but I am so excited. Hafta call my undergrad school today - I get to use that phrase! - and make sure they mailed my transcript out...
I was just telling Joshua about the plans to camp in the backyard and all the snacks and fun they will have out there...
He put his hands up like "STOP!" and shouted...
"SAY ME NO MORE! I GET YOUR POINT!"
Then he jumped down from my lap and bellowed at Matthew "Heyyy MATTHEW!!! GUESS WHAT!!"
He's excited. Just a tad.
They really love camping in the back yard...it's fun, safe, comfortable and novel.
Naw...I meant the chickens!
