Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

after all. It became a matter of honor...Oh yes, I see.
There were actually 4 roach rescues I did at Cheryl and Lynn's house. 2 were just somewhere in the den. The other 2, incredibly, both crawled onto her leg while she was sitting in her "place" on her loveseat!
I kilt all 4 of 'em. I got the most thanks for those 2 attacking her leg. hehehe... I was a HERO!!!!

I was a HERO!!!!Understandably! This was the first time I had one actually crawl on my bear skin... it was profoundly unsettling!

It requires Windows Media Player... if you don't have the plug-in for it, then it wouldn't work.
Here's another link... the link I posted above was to the video titled "Drama", in the middle of the page.

Here.

You can enjoy that here.

And just shoot me if I ever sound like one of your customers.

I will agree with you. 't's why I don't mind having an exterminator out whenever I see a roach. Money well spent for me. Just make the place a chemical dump so's I don't have to see anymore.

Night Bear!
Pleasant dreams. (meaning those void of palmetto bugs)
Guess it's time for me to think about saying goodnight too... since everyone else is clearing out.

Well now! Where did you come from 2J? This is really a surprise of an "expect me when you see me!"
Hey, I picked up a half a sack of peaches from my uncle's tree on my way home today. Gonna make some more peach habanero jelly this week. :-)

Hello everyone!
Here is the tentative plan for Oklahoma Whistle Moot (is that an ok name for it?)
Saturday
OT arrives and we sit around visiting, chicken-watching, grill something on the Road Grill. After supper, we head out to the cheap cinema to see ROTK. The jedis and Steve will be having s'mores and camping in the tent in the back yard, so we can play our whistles when we get in.
Sunday:
Eat a HUGH breakfast, like we always do on Sat, OT and the jedis will enjoy bacon, farm-fresh eggs, and buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream (possibly). Steve and I will have the same, except the pancakes will be the almond batter kind. Then we head out to Woolaroc. Sunday evening, we head to Ron's Hamburgers for a chili cheeseburger... then after supper, OT and I will head to Arnies to enjoy some Irish session music. Jedis will again sleep in the tent outside with Steve.
Monday Morning:
A trip to Krispy Kreme, if OT wants to go...the jedis would love it!
Anything else you wanna do, OT?
