Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

When it changes from a watch to a warning. 'Course I wanna be the fool who goes out to the parking lot to watch. :)

Posted this in the saddle club thread too, but this was a pretty cool moment that just happened that I thought y'all'd find interesting too! Saw the horses both layin' down in the pasture for a nap, and we went out to get some pictures and see how close I could get ;~D Cool pics! Which one is Shadowfax again? :)

Sounds like me with lightning.
Tornado I don't mess with.
If I had nmy way, I'd have a storm shelter built into the basement qith electric running to a secure box, and a couple APC units for backup battery for the 'puter inside the storm shelter.
OKers.
Just keep your head down and report back what you see when you can -SAFELY.

At my college a couple of men's quartets did a concert. They called it "Eight is Too Much."

Yep, they had a great time...lots of wide open spaces and friends to hang out with. They fished and climbed a big tree fort and had a high time.
The parents sat around talking mostly...and eating. 'Cept me...I'm a black sheep in every situation. I went off and rode the horse too...when I could pry the kids off!

My sis has an odd version of Star Trek Bohemian Rhapsody.
Chekov has a photon torpedo fixation.
And Spock tells him that everything is illogical to me.
