Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A sudden tree or standing stone

New verse:

     | Upon the hearth the fire is red,Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
 Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!
 | Still round the corner there may waitA new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!
 | Home is behind, the world ahead,And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
Well wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Tomorrow is the annual "Cromwell Community Cemetery" cleanup day. It's a scene right out of a Garrison Keillor monologue. Gonna do some yard work on the cemetery, then have a nice lunch.

This is the Soviet of Washington. Where the Seattle city council votes to openly support hate and terrorist groups, and the Olympia city council votes to refuse a visit by the USS Olympia, a submarine that bears its name. It is also home to the Evergreen State College, where Rachel Corrie is a beloved martyr. That reminds me, I was looking up some stuff the other day and found this--thought you might find it interesting:
Timeline History of Communism in Washington State
The site it's from is a U-Washington project devoted to documenting the history of Communism in Washington. I was surprised how blatantly pro-Communist they are. At most universities they at least try to conceal their Communist sympathies behind some facade, but this site is pretty openly Communist.

Ah. Tomorrow no work on the house huh? The cleanup sounds like fun. We have one of those in my old community with a picnic following every year too. I miss that. They don't ever let me know when it is now that I'm in WF. :-(

His head came off and he spit up some milk in
Alien.
He also got to ogle the naked red-headed alien chick in Fifth Element.

hehehe... They have specs on which type of helmut they have to have too. Those little turtle shell ones you see people wear here sometimes aren't allowed there either. Have to be full padded helmuts.

I was chuckling at that part about the passenger seat and footrests. Kinda interesting. I would *not* want to have to ride on a fender anymore for more than a few blocks but riding with feet propped on shocks is kinda comfy. LOL

That's odd... I do see a lot of those "turtle-shell" type helmets around here. So those are not technically legal?

From what I read on one of the ABATE sites. They require a DOT padded helmut. One of the bulky thick ones that covers ears.
