New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Lurtz just lost his head. It weren't pretty.
Thank you my FRiend!
I did have a very peaceful repose. That's something I've really noticed since being on this low carb diet. My sleep is DEEP! No more tossing and turning and I don't feel "keyed up" all the time.
My skin has cleared up.
My stomach doesn't bother me anymore. I thought I was one of those doomed to a life of "IBS" if you know what I mean. Bah! I feel better now than I have in years and that's enough reason for me to stay on the diet, even if I don't loose any weight!
Oh dear...
I would have followed you my brother, my captain...my king.
*snif*
Hey hey!! I was just thinking of you this morning!! Was it you that spent a few years in a rustic home on a creek or something?
I thought it was you when I was reading about the homeschooling homeless dad out in the woods...
I mean, I thought ABOUT you...
Sam, I'm glad you're with me...*snif*
(see y'all later, I gotta get back to work)
Yep that was me bathing in the creek and using an outhouse potty. Boy have I come along way...
Got a song you might be interested in singing...it's downright gorgeous. I cried every time I played it the first few times!
Called "Hallelujah, What a Savior", Tommy Coomes band sings it. It's awesome...makes you get goosebumps!
Man of Sorrows! what a name
for the Son of God, who came
ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
in my place condemned he stood;
sealed my pardon with his blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
spotless Lamb of God was he;
full atonement can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Lifted up was he to die;
"It is finished!" was his cry;
now in heaven exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When he comes, our glorious King,
all his ransomed home to bring,
then anew this song we'll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Some of the freepers were saying they thought the little girl would have problems (same old socialization crap), but I didn't think so. The report said she was well-spoken beyond her years and her living conditions were better than some I imagine in the inner cities...
I would opt for a lean-to in the woods over living in the projects any day...
You turned out all right! LOL
So are you starting in on Two Towers?
Hullo all. We had a tremendous thunderstorm early this morning. Knocked out power all over the place. But it's sunny now, and Friday.
I'm not working late. We're having a couple people over to dinner, and watching "Shrek" - my dad has somehow escaped seeing it and we're supposed to see Shrek 2 tomorrow...
Starting TTT in a few minutes. Gotta enter some checks in the pool financial records...BUT...
WOO HOO! I am making progress. I now have four boxes of historical files (that were dumped on my doorstep in January) that I'm taking to the pool to store tomorrow. Once I enter these checks, make the deposit and pay our current bills, all I have to do is print out a current financial statement, save the records to a disk and pass it off to our new treasurer.
I am indeed a happy dwarf.
Don't say things like that, the files could spontaneously combust or something.
Hey mija! Guess what!!! I'm still at Aunt Cheryl's!
Uh, I disappeared from the thread all this time cause she came upstairs with the morning coffee and we've been talkin' - again. The last of the video shooting has been postponed till Tuesday, so I'm here till Monday! Just found out yesterday afternoon! :-D
Heh... they were tryin' to scare Ruthy last night. Uh... you of all people might be able to tell 'em how het up I can get when somebody is scarin' somebody about a phobia.
No stories please. LOL
Ruthy, if you wanna get on the boat I will gladly take a picture of you on the boat! And I bet Ramius will too. I'm sure he would love that.
But, if you get on that boat and they starts takin' 'bout stuff to scare you, I promise, you have my bow... and they'll hear how the cow eats the cabbage. hehehe
I like that part!
Yes she did! The creek was the bathtub and the potty was outside! They wasn't just rustic. They was downright roughin' it!
You sure have. And I like the purple shutters. :-)
