Aunt Cheryl says "Hi."

and to let you know that she's real glad I got to stay here longer. (not sure why you're asposed to know that.)

And... Uncle Lynn says, "Hi."

You'd be comfortable with us here. This is a smoke filled room. LOL

Do that and you'll most likely be okay.

Those directions will probably help reduce the risk. But there are 205 known cases where people followed all that and still got attacked by Whites (not including other sharks):

MAPS of Confirmed Unprovoked White Shark Attacks

So IMO anytime you get in the ocean it's a small but calculated risk, which is larger or smaller depending on where you are and what you do. I don't believe in overhyping the risk (except to scare Ruthy, LOL!) but I also don't believe in downplaying it like I see a lot of nature shows do. I saw one show where Valerie Taylor went down in a chain-mail suit, deliberately started a feeding frenzy among blue sharks, fed them fish by hand during the frenzy, and got her glove ripped off and almost lost her hand along with it. When she came out of the water her first reaction was, "It wasn't the shark's fault; it was my fault--I was in it's territory!" Um, yeah, I'd say so :)

Sixgill sharks are bottom-feeders. It's sorta like saying there are giant man-eating STURGEON. Uh... ain't gonna happen. :-)

Well, there are giant sturgeon in AD&D :) In real-life, they like to lurk on the bottom along with sixgills, waiting for Ruthys to come along. . .and sometimes they even leap into the boat in search of Ruthy snacks:

Florida Sturgeon "Attacks" Over For Now

Last summer, at least four people were injured when the fish with prehistoric roots leapt out of the water and crashed into them.

Hey...had an interesting day today. My home PC blew up...well sort of -- accumulated a mass of viruses apparently that over time zapped it out. Had a guy come in who was good at his stuff and cleaned my machine out and really revved it up. My computer's like new. Apparently, I had accumulated a bunch of viruses over time that came to a critical mass today when I started up. Used up all my memory and started running programs on its own. Guy came to my house and cleaned the PC out good. All of a sudden I've got speed I never knew I had!

I'll be bailing out presently.

But one thing I want to make clear: Ruthee... there has never been even ONE known shark attack in the Puget Sound, or the place we'll be. Not One. Ever. They just don't live here.

Fedora: Please don't do that. Some folk really do have unrealistic fears of such things, and I don't want that to interfere with enjoyment of things out at da beach for weddingmoot. There really are not sharks or anything else to be concerned about out in the Gig Harbor area. The only thing we'll have to worry about is sunscreen. :-)

Nite nite...

Glad you were able to get that fixed! Hey, speaking of that, either of you guys know what might be causing this? I have an external USRobotics modem which recently sometimes starts whining white noise after running normally for a while. I assume it's a hardware problem, but strangely, when this happens the noise will lower if I minimize all my Windows. Any idea why it might be doing that?
