Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Eeek.
That's pretty evil.
Large, and fast.
I hate spiders.
Outside, they're fine.
I even had a funnel web spider outside that I fed once in awhile until it got huge and fat.
But INSIDE, I usually catch them in a Grey poupon jar and let them go outside.

I have to admit to not being able to get my head around planning till after next month... That's okay, Jen's Entmoot chair and she doesn't have anything big (like a move and grad school coming up). Let her worry about it tomorrow...just like the good Scarlet she is. ;-)

I could sit by the fire in the lodge drinking nice warm adult-type beverages. But seriesly, can you see ME on skis? I think not.

Scarlet, huh? I'm going to get you for that one.
As Entmoot Chair, I officially dub Corin "Mr. In Charge of All Major Arrangements". I, meanwhile, shall decide on the color for the official Entmoot shirts.

I'd love to see Colorado, yet I think a MO moot would be better for a few reasons...
1)2J would be more likely to make it.
2)osage and LSA would definitely be there.
3)g'nad wouldn't have to transport his family anywhere, seeing as he has the largest one to travel with.
4)easy access to refrigeration, cooktops and shelter in case of lousy weather
4)if'n orcs try to crash our party or if any Fell Beasts show up during the camping part of our stay, g'nad has enough firepower to blow 'em to smithereens! *grin*

Ever been snowtubing? Now that's fun. And no skill required. I can do it.

2J! Yeah, she'd have it easier. And quite a few people could drive, after all.

As Entmoot Chair, I officially dub Corin "Mr. In Charge of All Major Arrangements". You know, since I'm planning on playing hooky tomorrow just to deal with pool crap, that's just not funny.
(although in a previous life, I got paid to make that kind of arrangements)

I think Missouri would get my vote. I'm open to other locations, but that would sure work.

Never been snowtubing and the last time I was sledding, I'm pretty sure Jimmy Carter was President and I was using an "appropriated" tray from the college cafeteria...
(which also means my butt could still fit on the tray)

Snowtubing's cool. You've got this big round innertube, like you'd find at a waterpark, and you go down a hill on it. Most of the ski places have 'em and they haul you up the hill on a little lift.
Based on some of the people I've seen snow tubing, nobody has any size issues with tubing.

I'm sure it would be fun. I do have fun in the water parks. But I seriesly hate to be cold. I'd move further south if I could find me a good payin' job that way. I'd be happy if it never got below 60 degrees.
