I did enjoy at least some of Shrek, I admit. I hadn't realized Shrek 2 was coming quite so soon!

Too much "toilet" humor for grown-ups and too many innuendos for kids, so it doesn't really cater to either crowd.
This is a complete train wreck of a movie!!!!!!
The Grinch as played by Jim Carrey was much closer to the written character than Mike is to The Cat, and that's saying a lot considering the liberties taken with the Grinch film!

Yeah...Jim Carrey is another I don't care for. I made it through about fifteen minutes of The Grinch before I couldn't take it any more.
I like the cartoon, though!

Bear and Rose got to listen to all us parent's nightmares, the stories of her gettin' drunk 2 times in Germany.Heh... her story sort of reminded me of stories my high school buddies used to tell. They turned out OK, despite the drunken revelries they endured!

Hey there, Ramius!
Warning: Do NOT deliberately set yourself up to watch The Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers!!!

I avoided The Grinch film for the same reason. Man, I wish they wouldn't mess with classics like that! If they're going to do them, do it right!

Cartoon Grinch was great :) I watched that for years before realizing it was Boris Karloff doing the voice of the Grinch--thought that was pretty cool when I found that out.

I like your tagline, Rosie. Is it new?
Chesterson has some great aphorism, doesn't he? He's up there with CS Lewis for witty ways to say deepish things, in my books. Haven't read much of him other than his "Father Brown" stories, though.

Howdy! I'd like to see that re-release of Godzilla, but I can't find any theaters in Austin that are playing it, unfortunately.
To: Ramius
Sorry to hear you got a worm! Good luck catching up. Hmmm, guess I'd better download my antivirus updates here. . .

I was tired of the old one and looking for a new quote...wasn't necessarily looking for another Chesterton quote, but I liked that one! Seems especially fitting with the whole gay marriage deal going on in MA.
